What to eat after tooth extraction

I've got an appointment later in the week to have a couple of teeth removed. I'm trying to meal plan for next week for me (alongside my family's meals) and other than those initial couple of days of soup and yogurts, what do I eat for the first 1-2 weeks?

I know I need to stick to soft foods and nothing that involves too much chewing or crunching, nothing small like rice or grains etc. but I'm so clueless. Any and all suggestions would be really appreciated.

Mash beans gravy!
scrambled egg
smoothies
shakes
porridge

I found hot things quite soothing even though I didn’t think
I would

You won’t need to eat such a careful diet for s king as 2 weeks.

Soft fish with no bones
Stewed apple,
macaroni cheese
creamed chopped spinach
jelly
soup

Ha! I’ve just come from the dentist after the same treatment.

Very much wishing I’d finished my coffee this morning before my appointment; no milk or other dairy products for two days! Did your dentist not say the same?

@FollowSpot I know it's unlikely to be as long as 2 weeks but as I'm getting teeth out on both sides (and not the very back ones) I'm being cautious in my planning now!

@wordless the dentist said they would give me all the aftercare information, including what to eat, at my appointment so I've no information on whether I can have dairy or not! I'm just going off what Google/friends and family have said, at the moment

Do you know why your dentist gave you this advice? Having had around 10 teeth removed over the years, I’ve never been given this advice. Just to be wary of hot foods whilst my mouth is still frozen so I don’t burn myself .

My go-to foods are smooth soup, banana mashed into yogurt, mash potato with cheese, macaroni cheese and fish pie. In fact, all my post-tooth-removal meals contain dairy!

I would only be ultra careful for the first couple of days though, although I suppose I tend to each quite soft foods anyway, and at the point of having a tooth removed, I would be eating carefully because of the pain the tooth was causing. What I found really difficult was getting used to eating with a denture. That was far more difficult than just eating on one side after tooth removal.

Sorry, OP, I see you are having teeth removed on both sides of your mouth. Yes, that does sound harder, but my advice on what I would eat still stands .
