What's your favourite homemade cocktail?

If you like cocktails of course. I love a cosmopolitan and they're so easy to make but DH and I have decided to make a new cocktail every weekend and need some ideas please?!

Old Fashioned

Oh yes, we do these at Xmas sometimes. My poor 5’ MIL was absolutely steaming after one!

Oh gosh we did this one December! And then everyone bought us spirits for Xmas so we continued it all year!
favourites are- porn star martini, cosmo, amaretto sour.

We did this during lockdown it was great fun! My favs are espresso martini, margs, old fashioned, strawberry daiquiri and brambles

Just had one and finished the bottle (of pisco). Really good.

I love cocktails…
In summer, frozen strawberry or raspberry daiquiris (Ive discovered you can do these really easily in the nutribullet). Or, an agua de Valencia - my version is Prosecco, fresh orange juice, a little sugar and some Cointreau (not authentic, but gin feels too much to me…)
In autumn / winter, sours - whiskey or amaretto.

Margarita, negroni, flora Dora (gin, lime, raspberry liqueur, ginger ale) and egg nog at Christmas.
Currentjt having an alcohol free concoction of three spirit social elixir with fevertree marg mix, pretty good!

I love a brandy alexander - rarely have them but love them when I do!
Also an amaretto sour, spicy margarita and a mojito.

Dark and Stormy or a Mojito in the summer.

SPICY margarita (also delicious with a little mezcal if you like smokyness - google the Cinder cocktail from the Death & Co bar in NYC, it's the BEST cocktail I've ever made at home)

The Parisian
inna cocktail shaker that has ice add:
40ml gin
40ml crème de cassis
40ml dry martini or vermouth
shake then pour into cocktail glass, garnish with orange peel

I make this every christmas and thanksgiving. everyone loves it. I do a virgin version as well.

I love a pink gin and elderflower tonic.

Gin Ricki, lime juice, gin, simple syrup & soda water over ice. I was taught how to make it by a restaurant owner, it tastes like pop but can have you on your back very easily.

What do you do for the virgin version please? I've got various friends who don't drink so always on the lookout for properly nice options for them.

Hugo spritz. It always feels fancy but it's straightforward.

I do a pretty good mojito, and I also love a prickly pear margarita.

My go-to is sangrias though. I love mixing wines, spirits, fruits, juices and pop to see what happens. My best one was red wine, bourbon, amaretto, frozen cherries and Pepsi max, it's become a great favourite at bbqs! I also do one that's rose wine, white choc liqueur, vanilla vodka, strawberries and lemonade. Yum.

Oh and I did a lovely winter version of Aperol Spritz using ginger beer instead of soda and added whole cloves and fresh rosemary

Omg. Sounds like when we were kids mixing together everything in our parents booze cupboard! 🤣🤣🤣
