How to have a glow up

Morning,
Happy sunny bank holiday. I want to hear your glow-up stories please.
I am 43, have 3 children who are not little anymore so not as relentlessly demanding. I have a good career and some decent clothes. However, I used to stay fairly slim and fairly attractive because I was young. I now feel like I want and need to dedicate a bit more time to my appearance and my health.
So if you had a mid-40s glow up, please give me your inspirational stories and tips. Right now I just have a vague idea that I want to find ways to spend more time and energy on myself after 15 years of being stretched very thin by work and little kids.

Thanks in advance X

Good haircut and colour,
Brows you can do yourself with tweezers and dye
Buy a decent face moisturizer.
Start there and then grow.

Try on everything you already own and keep only what fits well and feels good. Buy less, but better quality clothes. It doesn't need to be expensive - vinted and marketplace are perfect. Get a good low maintenance haircut. Feel good in who you are, what you wear and how you present.

Honestly it comes down to nutrition and exercise. Everything can follow after that. I also wear nice clothes, no lounge wear unless for sport or just before a shower in the morning. It should be gradual I think. A bit like kids are getting older and pulling away we should slowly be pulling ourselves back.

Oooh, this sounds like fun! Make sure you enjoy the process.

If you can afford it, book a session with a stylist. Ideally, Don’t get a free session with John Lewis or the like, but pay for someone independent. They should help you learn how to dress for your body shape and colouring. Have a decent budget available for a new wardrobe if you are going to do this.

Get your hair styled in a new style maybe even a new colour. Possibly get your eyebrows tinted and waxed/threaded.

Book a makeup session at a counter like Mac or somewhere like that (I’m not in the UK so not aware of the options now). Usually you get the cost back if you spend the same amount on goods on the day.

Get a mani/pedi.

And if you want to go a bit further, there are cosmetic injectables like anti-wrinkle injections or fillers. Obviously these are more expensive and it depends on your thoughts on these.

Give yourself a monthly budget for upkeep too. Once you’ve done all this, allow yourself at least an extra 10 to 15 minutes in the morning to put yourself together.

I hope you feel fabulous!

Everyone has such good advice but @Notmyrealname22 - your suggestion of just making an extra 15 minutes in the morning to get myself ready is such a simple but brilliant idea! Too often I am putting make up on in the car at work. Thanks!
