Hey

OP posts:
KawasakiBabe · 23/08/2025 19:16

Rarely a greeting, just straight into what I want to say.

AntiBullshit · 23/08/2025 19:27

I only put a hello if it’s to my boss and I’m going to be late for work

DonewhatIcando · 23/08/2025 20:07

Yo
Yo bitches if it's the group message with my sisters.
Hey 🐣 (chick emoji) for friends

youalright · 23/08/2025 20:12

Wasssssuppppp 😛

CharlieSJ · 23/08/2025 20:19

For a message to one of my close female friends I start with "Hi my lovely"

Gladysknightjustwalkinmyshoes · 23/08/2025 20:56

Fit like..
NE Scottish greeting.

merryhouse · 23/08/2025 22:09

Most people it's "Hi [name]" possibly with a ! in certain circumstances

to H, I just launch straight in (it's usually "leaving now" or "be a bit late"). Same with his mum if I'm letting her know we're nearly there, otherwise as above. S2 usually the same.

S1 I text less frequently and usually start it with Hi Sweetie Grin

mintydoggyv · 23/08/2025 22:22

Hello

RJ2023 · 23/08/2025 22:30

"I am taking the liberty of writing to you, trusting that my counsel on this particular subject will prove to be of some benefit to your endeavors" 😄

BourgeoisBabe · 23/08/2025 23:05

When you say text, do you meant WhatsApp? That's pretty much all I use now. With family and friends, just launch straight into what I want to say. It's usually a continuing conversation anyway. If a work colleague, slightly more formal. HI Annie - then the message.

mondaytosunday · 23/08/2025 23:32

Hi or hey

theriseandfallofFranklinSaint · 24/08/2025 00:05

Hellooooo!

Is how I start WhatsApps (nobody I know uses texts) and some work emails depending on the recipients 😁

Tarkan · 24/08/2025 02:00

Hiya usually. Occasionally Hey or Hi.
