Does anyone know about colonoscopy prep? Posting here for traffic.

So I'm booked or a colonoscopy tomorrow. I have spent the week doing an extended prep of a low residue diet and movicol.

The last part is moviprep this evening and in the morning, but I have just vomited up the prep.

The department are closed and 111 say someone will call me back from a 'local service'.

I'm guessing that I won't be having a colonoscopy tomorrow but does anyone know what I can do, or should do.

I'd actually taken an antiemetic just in case.

Does anyone have any advice.

Thanks @WishSheWouldGoAway , it sounds like we are on different types of meds as mine is definitely a 2 dose version.
( plus senna tablets)

@ScottBakula I can't remember if it started in the evening, I think it did.

Three hours! Wow that's a long wait.

My tips for making it more bearable, ask for the sedative. I took tea and biscuits for the staff, they really appreciated it. My carer was waiting for me and he said it was like something from a wildlife documentary, staff came from all directions and stuffed biscuits in their mouths.

Oh I have just thought of a couple of things. Get some of those wet toilet wipes, not for the toilet, for your bum.

And finally my UTI is e-coli so probably a result of the prep.

Thanks @sashh
I am not looking forward to the travel tho tbf it is fairly straightforward but I am concerned that I will still be leaking .

Unfortunately because I won't have anyone with me I can't have any kind of sedation, so I will be wide awake ohh joy 🙁.

Ha ha I will see if I can pick up some biscuits on my way home this evening to bribe give to the staff

Well you lot were right about the foul tasting drink , the 1st one wasn't nice but by god the 2nd one was revolting.
The 1st one did most of the work within about 45 mins .

I had a lot of waiting around once I got there, my appointment was at 2.30 but i didnt get seen untill 4.45.

The procedure it's self wasn't nice but apart from a couple of minutes a few times it wasn't painful just uncomfortable.
Twice tho they had to press on my stomach, then it bloody hurt .

I had one tiny polyp which they removed and I have humanoids.
So all in all nothing to worry to much about which is obviously good news . But because of my family history I get to go every two years ( or more frequently ) for the rest of my life , oh joy .
