Just that? I want to get a cleaner as I’m struggling to manage working full time with 2 DCs but everyone local I’ve tried or been recommended is booked up or not responding to messages. Has anyone used this website? It’s been suggested to me but seems too good to be true!

I contacted them and they just got some random woman to message me . She said she couldn’t make th agreed date that hadn’t been agreed. I hadn’t met her , knew nothing about her and the company hadn’t even even contacted me. Awful.

I have in the past. I don’t think they are worth their fee. They seem to only provide an introduction service and not even a very good one - if your cleaner is sick or on holiday they don’t know about it or provide a different one, so no benefit to using them as an agency compared to just finding someone directly. My cleaner was excellent but then she retired and they never sent anyone else until I eventually cancelled my direct debit. She was the second one they sent me, the first one they sent did a trial session but told me that was her last week with the company so no idea why they were sending her out on trials.

Yeah would echo posters above as we had a similar experience. I would keep looking for local cleaners / ask for recommendations.

When I used them the cleaner kept being changed. And I kept being asked to "interview" them to check i was happy. It was a massive faff rather than saving effort which I had hoped for!

I don't think they're worth it either - the reason I go with an agency is to have cover when my regular cleaner's away, but they couldn't offer this and didn't seem bothered. I have a local agency now who can find replacements.

I used Next Door app. I had about 30 responses. I used a cleaner with lots of experience and she's great. It might take a bit of trial and error but have an idea of what you're willing to pay, know what you want them to do and make it all clear beforehand so there's no confusion.

Instead of a huge franchise like that who’s main interest is selling businesses to potential franchise owners who not trying try a smaller business who will manage the service properly and not just be riding off the back of franchise marketing

I realise the solo cleaners are a mixed bag but a fully managed small company who is established and has mostly great reviews is more likely to be much better than a franchised agency who actually ‘own’ the business owner who has bought a branch with no industry knowledge

I have heard very bad things from people who have used these kind of franchises as you can tell. Private companies can do better

I agree with PP. The agency don’t seem to do anything for their monthly fee. The cleaner they paired me with is great, no issue there at all (and I pay her directly as well as paying the monthly fee). The problems I’ve had have been when my cleaner has taken time off for various sick leave (eg she had to have an operation and had three months away which was of course fine). The agency told me I had to accept a replacement cleaner immediately or close my account. It made me wonder what exactly I am paying the agency for - there was no choice whatsoever when I’d preferred to have simply waited for my original lady to return (and paid their fee!)

The trouble is if you use ND there are loads of responses but I don’t know anything about the people who respond and it’s so risky. Interviewing them all is not really practical. I wish I knew someone who would recommend their cleaner!

I'm thinking of working for them as I'm suddenly unemployed and waiting for closing dates on jobs I've applied for. I really just need something for four weeks to take me to Christmas. Not sure if I should apply?
