Anyone else noticed we seem to have a 3% club on AIBU?

Even If the poster says the most blinding obvious comment which no one could object to, there is a consistent vote of 3% saying they are being unreasonable. For example, Op posts ‘AIBU to switch off the engine when I’ve parked the car’ and there is always that 3% vote.

Of course, I could get a life and get off MN Blush

Maybe that's the 3% margin of error?

Sometimes people say something like "I voted YABU because you should have more confidence in your decisions" or something daft that makes the engine switch-off look unreasonable but isn't really related to the question.

There are so many stupid AIBUs though. Half the time they shouldn't be in that category. They're looking for info. How do I cook beetroot/get turmeric stains out? shouldn't be in AIBU so it's no wonder people don't know how to vote.

Yes possibly. Just seems odd it’s always 3%

The margin of error isn't always 3%. It's a common value for surveys with a sample size of around 1,000 to 1,500, but it can vary depending on factors like sample size and population variability.

This according to Google!
