What to get for a good samaritan

I came off my bike today on a cycle trail in an area with no phone signal.
Two local people were very kind and helped me get bandaged up to stop the bleeding and get to a hospital.
i want to write to them and thank them and send them something.
They are not a couple they are each others neighbours.

i know almost nothing about them.
At a guess both would be mid to late 60s.

I waits in one persons garden for about 30 to 60 minutes for a transfer to hospital. It was a gorgeous garden so I was thinking maybe a voucher for a local garden centre. He mentioned one when I was admiring his garden.

Not sure about the other.

Any suggestions please..

How kind of them. I hope you're feeling ok.

I'm sure they won't expect anything and certainly not vouchers/monetary type gift. I'd write a lovely thank you card and perhaps do a small hamper of nice tea, biscuits, maybe wine or chocolate?

I’m ok thankfully. I will just have quite a scar.
I knew I hadn’t broken anything. And I got stitched up in the hospital yesterday.
It would have been so much worse without a first aid kit and use of a landline so I am very grateful.

I’d probably get them some more bandages! a thank you card and a cake of some sort.
So lovely that they both looked after you so well in your time of need.

I think you’ve answered your own question. He mentioned his garden so it’s obviously important to him. The garden voucher shows that you noticed something that was important to him. If they are neighbours then the other is very likely to have a similar garden (presuming a street with the same type of houses/same gardens).
Failing that, a voucher for a local restaurant?
Wishing you a speedy recovery!

I’m glad you’re ok, that’s a lovely idea for a garden Center voucher though I’m sure they wouldn’t expect it! I found a phone underneath the train seat on my way into work once. The guy managed to track it down and called, I answered to say I’d take it to my work so he can collect. He was so grateful that it wasn’t stolen and bought me a bottle of wine and some chocolates - it was lovely and very unexpected. Just showed his gratitude and I shared the choccies with the office

My family also helped a motorbike rider who’d come off his bike. Air ambulance came but was transported by road in the end. He came round a few weeks later with chocolates and wine as a thank you. Again, it’s never expected when you help someone that you’ll receive anything in return.
