How would you give a birthday gift of money these days?

My dnephew is a young adult and would like some money to go to his holiday fund.

If I don't have a cheque book is there a nice way to do this apart from a bank transfer? A bit more gifty? Obviously I could do actual cash but that's probably a bit of a hassle for a young person.

All I can find is cards for actual shops like Amazon etc. I'm not sure of HyperJar would work?

I agree it was nicer when you got an envelope with cash or a cheque, but that’s a bit impractical today.

A nice card with a note in it about the money - followed by a bank transfer?

I used to do cash in a card but it’s almost impossible to spend cash these days so I usually write a note in the card instructing them to check their bank account. Or I’ll ask them on the day for bank details if I don’t already have them.
chances are they’ll end up traipsing to a bank anyway to pay it into their accounts anyway and banks are also rarer than hens teeth now so it’s just way more convenient,
Not the answer you were hoping for I know but I’m all about the easy life myself too!

I always send the money to the parents ( I have my brothers bank details but not niece / nephew etc so easier to send to him then he transfers )a day or to before, then put a note in the card

Send a card telling him to check his bank account together with a small present of eg favourite chocolate bar so that there is something to open as well.
