Making a snowman with kids.. sounds like an idyllic childhood moment but in reality wet gloves, freezing hands, doesn't turn out any good anyway.

Thank you for that, @tinyspiny , I’m going to give them a go, just looked at website. Costs less than Gail’s!

And me and my dogs agree with @Comedycook , we bloody hate fireworks.

having a partner/husband!
I think about this daily.

Working at the zoo. It seems so wholesome, but then I remember I don’t like really early mornings, and prefer animals when they’re in the other side of a fence.

Sex on a beach. Looks great in the films, but I should imagine you'd get sand everywhere...including your arse crack! 😂

Living in a commune in the 1970's in rural Vermont. In my head it's all home baked bread, tending the gardens, everyone working together to make life good and folk singing by the fireside in the evenings. In reality it would be loads of sexual jealousy and STD's, squalor, drug use, the majority taking it easy while a few people do all the work as documented in just about any book you read about commune living. Still its a nice idea.

Any activity related to Christmas that involves leaving my house.

Comedycook · 14/08/2025 18:21

Multi generation living/living with extended family....if we all sold our houses we could pool our money and buy this huge beautiful house that's practically a mansion ...!

Christmas night trails - dark, busy, overpriced
Living by the sea - depressing in winter
Cruises
Women’s retreat
All staff sports day - fortunately away for that one!

  1. Leaving my husband and 2) staying with him.

On a more lighthearted note: going clubbing. Would love to drink and dance but the following day would but be worth it 😆

Definitely clubbing I just hate standing up these days!!

DH, ddog and I driving round in a camper van and stopping in idyllic spots for bread and wine and cheese.

In reality I have an insane sense of smell and a gag reflex to match.
And a bit of a weird poo phobia. I know it happens but I don't want to know.
Feel a bit retchy even typing that.
DH has kindly pointed out that I can not share a loo with him in our house so it seems a bit impractical but even though he is 100% spot on I still
idealise it in my daydreams....
