I had a colleague who was 6'7". In order to fly comfortably he has to pay more for premium seats. He will probably have to pay more for his coffin. Are these height taxes?

I'm 5'8" and was a size 24. I could fit into a budget airline seat without crowding my neighbours.

It can be extremely difficult to lose weight, I know this. It can be extremely difficult to maintain a healthy weight, I know this, too. However, weight is far more under the individual's control than their height. The fact that obesity is becoming common should not mean that it is normalised.

Burial plots, coffins, aeroplane seats will all become more expensive for everybody in order to make them cheaper for obese people. Just as the size 24 shopper pays the same for her dress as the size 12 shopper, despite her dress using vastly more fabric.
