AI family to Eurocamp family?

We’ve only ever done all inclusive type holidays with the kids (3 year old and 1 year old) but I’ve convinced myself that we can become a Eurocamp family (partly cost as we try and get away a few times a year, but also because I want them to experience different things).

We’ve done self catering holidays in the UK and enjoyed them, but found that the evenings get a bit long without a mini disco to shatter the 3 year old.

Although it’s a cheaper than all inclusive for a week, it’s still probably going to work out at about £2k after flights and spending money, so if it’s not for us it’s an expensive mistake.

Just looking for experiences please from anyone who has been to both and whether the activities etc. on offer with the Eurocamp are worth it.

We love eurocamp for that age - we haven't done the evening entertainment at the camps we've been to but the facilities have been great. We did go to one (bella italia by lake garda) that had extra play areas open up in the evening - dd loved the bouncy castle one.

I would say to do your research though - camps vary a lot on size, location, facilities so think about what you want and search for that - for us it's a nice pool, near a beach and town, and good eating options on site.

For us the benefit is that you get more space (living area separate to the bedrooms, and kids don't have to share), and a kitchen so you can be flexible on what/ when you eat. The downside is that you either need to cook or budget for eating out so I'm not sure how much cheaper it actually ends up as.
