How long is it acceptable to wait?

Had a beauty appointment booked for 12:20, therapist said she would be running around 10 minutes behind and at nearly 1pm I am still waiting for her to finish with her previous client.

Not comfortable enough to just walk out and luckily I have the time to wait but feel like this is taking the piss a bit...

I wouldn’t wait more than 10 minutes, if you had first appointment of the day and traffic was bad, then maybe I would accept 15 minutes. I used to go to a walk in for a hair cut in my lunch hour, then I am happy to accept a longer wait, but not for an actual appointment.

She is still with previous client so I've no idea how far she must be running behind.

I'm really non confrontational so the thought of walking out genuinely makes my skin crawl!

If you really feel you can't just walk out, I'd make up an excuse and say you can't wait any longer as you have another appointment to get to. Depends how much you want the appointment.

If I’d found her to be the best at the treatment, and I was in need of the treatment this week, I’d wait (assuming I wasn’t on lunch break and my time was available).

She’d be completely out of order to try and keep any deposit, if you couldn’t wait a full hour by now over your appointment time.

I wouldn't just walk out, but I'd saying 'I have another appointment to get to so can't wait any longer' then I'd walk out.

Has she even acknowledged you again since you've been there?
