As above, I’ve never been before but my friend is taking me on her card this afternoon.

She has a spare room in her house full to the brim of loo roll, washing up stuff etc from there.

I don’t have the space for lots and lots of bulk buys, but can I ask those who have been:

-What really is good value for money and worth buying in bulk?

-are there special buys/best buys I should look out for?

-what are the best ‘own brand’ buys?

Essentially, we have limited time as I’m also taking my 3 year old so will be on a click before he gets bored so I want to make the most of it!

Thanks!

I’ve also just realised they do non food items too. Hadn’t even considered this!

The fresh food is bloody gorgeous, expensive but well worth it

The non-food section is like the middle of Lidl x10, be careful you don't come home with a garden shed or rowing boat. Other than that just work your way round, check prices against supermarkets as you go round, shelf life for fresh stuff, have you got room in the fridge etc. I generally find that the same stuff in bigger containers is better value than the multipacks, eg we bought a kg of mango chutney which wasn't much dearer than a small jar of the same in Sainsburys, but multipacks of eg tins of beans not much saving.

Definitely get the kitchen foil, mine seems to go on for ever. Toilet rolls are good to. As pp said often the multi packs don't seem to save money and you have to store them somehow. Agree that the actual fresh food is good quality but expensive.

Honestly, we go for entertainment but rarely do I see anything that's significantly cheaper than you can get elsewhere - certainly not food. Mostly the prices are comparable with what you can get on special offers in the supermarket. But it is loads of fun, so enjoy. Laughing at the poster who said be careful not to come home with something random. I always wonder who goes home with the massive bouncy castle! When we were there before Christmas we saw a guy with the massive 6ft Lindt advent calendar - it cost about £100. His wife looked less than impressed😂

Washing capsules , dishwasher tablets , softener and toilet roll we always buy. The giant sausages and burgers are nice but the chicken and mince is no cheaper than Sainsbury’s. You should be googling the price of everything as you go around as it’s easier to get carried away and not everything is actually good value.
