Kids water bottles.. the holy grail

I have been through sooo many water bottles and I am begging for help to find one that will last. Smiggle bottles break sooo easily. I thought I was onto a good thing with ion8 but then 2 cracked within the space of a week.. and then I bought a metal one which is still functioning but got a nasty looking dent within a week.

Needs to be:

  • aesthetically pleasing and ‘cool’ enough for my 7 year old
  • easy enough to open and close tightly for my 4 yo
  • large enough for a days water
  • dishwashable
  • under £20 as they will probably lose it!
  • strong enough to withstand being dropped several times a day
  • leak proof

Heya, just as an alternative (i havent tried Ion 8), thermos do a kids range. Mine loves it because you can push a button and the lid flips open and a straw pops up. It keeps drink cold and can go in the top rack of a dishwasher. You can get pink or a number of disney designs like frozen, little mermaid etc. Price is £15 or £20 depending on the design you go for.

Rachel Ellen - the old style flip lid ones (not straws etc). Leak proof, seem to last forever. Lots of nice designs for seven year olds!

Thanks for all the suggestions! I think I should have stipuled in the OP that aesthetically pleasing to a 7 yo means that is has nice pictures on it of things that she is into. She wouldn’t be interested in Nike or a plain water bottle.

You can buy stickers off etsy and othe places with characters and their name if you want to jazz up a plain one 👍

Unlike other brands these ones have never let us down, easy to clean no straw to go manky or get bent up, no weird nooks and cranny’s to clean out and it doesn’t leak

I got one of these with my ocado order https://smidge.co.uk/shop/insulated-water-bottles.html. It's been really good. Other metal bottles I've had have warped on the bottom and plastic ones never seem to survive the dishwasher.

They also sell them on Amazon. There are all different colours but I think they're all plain.

Just saying but I think the one place you might fall is the dishwashable part, a group of us were talking about how the sign saying it is that seems to be wrong!!
