Does anyone else want to get their life in order?

Maybe it’s the fact that I can feel the change of seasons in the air, but I’m desperate to get my life sorted out. Im
off work recovering from an op, so I can’t exercise, but I want to get my eating nailed down, and get myself back into a routine so that when I get back to work, I feel more on top of everything.

im going to start today by getting my clean washing (which I did before my op!) put away, and try to go for a short walk.

I need to clear the garage out as I use it as a gym sometimes. Unfortunately DH won’t help so I can’t throw things out, I just end up moving them around and never actually achieve the job!

I’d just go ahead and chuck it out, if he wanted to keep it he should’ve helped!!

You don’t just chuck out your husband’s (or wife’s) belongings because they’re in your way!

If they refuse to help you clean out a space that serves you both, they’re gone! My parents have always done it this way. It’s a two way street.

I take your point. However, if a woman posted about her DH throwing out her stuff, without permission, to make space, we know what the majority of responses would be. So, that’s also a two way street.

I think it depends. If it’s a case of having asked for a prolonged period of time and the partner has continually said no, then it’s unlikely to raise eyebrows (imo)

I seriously have to tackle a huge box with family photos we took when my mum moved into a care home 18 months ago. It's sitting there and looking at me.

We are in the process of getting DD to uni in September and then I have finally my time again for me.

I also need to sort out clothes, while I am currently loosing weight, the stuff from 5-6 years ago will go and I get new things when I reach my goal.
