Good Morning All! What are you all up to today?

I've had a bit of a lie in so am just drinking my first cuppa & taking my tablets. Boy cat stuck his nose in my ear to wake me up 🙄. The kittens have been fed now, so they've vanished back upstairs - I'm guessing they've gone in dd1's room since all's quiet up there.

We have no plans at all today! Well, nothing hugely exciting! There's last night's washing up & the towels to wash, plus I want to carry on my slow and steady declutter, and pack another few boxes of things we don't often use.

Dd2 is busily working on a spreadsheet to track her GCSE revision so will probably carry on with that - it's colour coded! Dd1 won't have plans - she worked yesterday so will likely spend the day mooching in her pj's.

Later on I'll do some more house hunting, upload a few more items to Vinted, and finish off my current peg dolls - I didn't get to varnishing them yet, so starting that will be today's job. Also need to locate my weighing scales 🤔 since dd2 requested a baking day one day this week & found her recipes yesterday.

We're having pork loin steaks for tea, with garlic roast potatoes and probably salad I think 😋.

After that my usual Self-Care-Sunday scrubby everything shower, moisturise, file nails, repaint toenails & chill with my book for a bit.

Well, I've sorted what I cancel re: dhs tax return...he'll have to phone hmrc though which has put him in a foul mood 😃
Dd is not doing as requested and sorting her study desk out...its been 6 weeks since exams finished ao I think I've been quite patient 😬
Just the bathroom tomorrow clean today and a couple of loads of washing from dds chair of doom 😅

@lucysmam he got the pork I asked for, and the beef for the stir fry I thought he'd get, plus some cereal (for him - to add to the several other varieties we already have), some plums (for him - I do like them but I'm mainly having melon, and apple in my salad, at the moment) and a pastel de nata which was free (also for him), as well as some black bean sauce for the beef stir fry which we have actually already got, and was delivered only yesterday. Nothing ridiculous, thank goodness. I will probably have to 'persuade' him to eat the plums though.

He is very good at getting things for himself and we have 'had words' about it in the past....

Bits and bobs (I've got some sausages & bacon but anything really) and some chopped onion, fried off & stirred through baked beans, topped with cheesy mash & baked.

No idea why it's called cowboy pie! The kids loved it when they were little & DD (now 17!) requested it earlier this week so her wish is my command 😆

I do enjoy these weekend threads, they feel a little like free therapy. Had an unexpected family bereavement this week which has been strange so I'm very much enjoying the calm 'here'.

I'm knee deep in laundry too but I can see some progress now. I'm in the middle of painting tiles in the kitchen while listening to Help I Sexted my Boss which cheers me up no end, I love William and Jordan.

Fish pie for dinner and I want to try and settle down with my book. I've been too distracted to read which is very unlike me.

Morning all (just).

I had an early start with DDog. He’s not happy he had an operation last week and is still on very short walks. So is alway wanting to go out.

DH and DS are at the cinema and then they are all going out with DD to the football.

Ive nipped to markies. They have money off uniform only in store so grabbed a few things. Both kids are awkward heights so I’m not sure if what I have will be right.

I really must tackle some ironing. It’s out of control here. Kitchen needs a tidy too.

Plan tonight to read my book. I’m really enjoying it but I am struggling to just sit and read.

Im making hunters chicken tonight as it’s DSs favourite and DD is going out for tea.

@lucysmam She’s called Twosie Chubster but my friends just call her the Diva. Because she really is one. Amazing what a strong personality can be packed into such a tiny animal.

Just arrived home from our UK holiday so I'm currently knee deep in washing and waiting for the food shopping to arrive.

Weather was a bit rubbish today so we decided the make an early start home and have been up since 5am. I think it will be afternoon naps all round.

Back to work for me to tomorrow (although I'm just back for a week and I WFH so not too bad) so we're just going to have an easy day. We'll have a lasagne from the freezer for dinner with salad and garlic bread. Maybe a film later if we're not too tired.

Good afternoon @lucysmam and followers, I’m totally discombobulated because ZDog2 isn’t well, if no better by mid afternoon I will call the vet. I honestly have no idea what she’s eaten that could make her so sick. She is drinking water thankfully but isn’t interested in anything which is completely unlike her.
Fingers crossed she bucks up very soon.
DH has gone to the village for his usual Sunday gossip, no idea when he’ll be back, I’ve already eaten my dinner 😋
I will take ZDog1 out for a walk again later, she’s a darling.
Not sure what else I will get done today!

Having a relaxing day at home, done lots of things in my week off with my eldest.
Vintage fair
Been to Wells for the day and went to Cheddar gorge and been in the caves.
Wildlife Park
Got the train to Bristol and visited the harbour side.
Done 3 different beaches.
Done lots of walking.

Morning, nope afternoon all,

yesterday went unexpected, honestly the rest of the family couldn’t organise a bun fight in a bakery sometimes and this includes grandma, I suggested doing all the outstanding in person jobs in village shops because they needed to be there, and perhaps met up with Gma and grab “brunch” which turned into a £250 full on Italian lunch with dessert and the waiter let our 14 yr old have a digestif on the house! And apparently it was all my fault after suggesting a place “down the road” that did sell bacon sandwiches - but when the rest of the family are basically spinning on the spot in the middle of the pavement what to do? - so rest of the day a wash out

all been out doing our monthly green volunteering as our bit for the village and come home with a boot full of allotment vegetables and a lemongrass plant I am expected to keep alive! Oh dear

so am drinking coffee, trying to finish “butter” novel and have a chaotic kitchen and overflowing laundry basket and the teens want to play board games

seems like it will still be all my responsibility to line up the bunfight buns!

We've all got bugs in the house even down to the dog not poorly poorly but just need to take it easy poorly. My 3 yr old is currently on her nap she's been down since just gone 11 she's feeling that off. Best wake her soon 😆

@frozendaisy did you like Butter? I'm about 1/3 of the way through and it had to go back to the e library so I reserved it again.
