Would you say anything if your 6yo neighbour was wearing a bikini that said “Beach Babe”?

Just wondering what others think really. I was sitting in the garden yesterday and my neighbour’s DD (about 6 I’d guess?) was out playing in one of those little paddling pools wearing a pink bikini. Nothing wrong with that at all except it had “BEACH BABE” written across the top in big sparkly letters.

I don’t know why but it made me feel a bit uncomfortable. It just seemed… a bit grown-up? Maybe I’m overthinking but I can’t imagine putting something like that on a child.

I know people will say it’s just words and kids don’t know what it means but doesn’t that make it worse? That the adults do?

Would you say anything in this situation or just keep out of it?

Different definitions, but your examples are not describing (or even implying) "baby or young child". Unless you think "attractive young woman seen on beaches with tanned skin" somehow does.

Why would I think it meant baby or young child??

Baby is derived from the word babe.
Babe means attractive to me, not necessarily sexual at all.

It sounds like the same sort of bikini I would have worn at 5yo, in 1973. So not really seeing the issue.
There are pics "Shock" of me in the bikini. I looked cute.

So obviously I wouildn't think badly of it.

You’ve never heard of a ‘babe in arms’?

Don't think I'd notice. Our neighbours' children have been out playing most fine days this summer but I couldn't tell you what they were wearing.
