Higher earners

There seem a plethora of posts on people feeling squeezed. Red rag to a bull seems to be when higher earner says they work hard, with lower earners saying they work hard too - both can be true. There will also be coasters in both too.

Higher earner will say they’re not living the life of Riley. Lower earner will say they’re being tone deaf. Again, both can be true.

There will then be a thinking of leaving the country as being taxed too much post
, not enough net contributors etc, everyone on the take accusations. Saw a poster in a thread say - those at the bottom end of the top 1% (or even top 0.1%) are far closer in income to the 99-99.9% than they are to the higher end of their own category. It seemed so obvious when I read it and I’d never thought of that before.

There are those that hugely help - unpaid carers for example who are offered absolute peanuts. How about the doctor who looks at blood tests or symptoms properly, saving some people having to give up their jobs or having to repeatedly seek healthcare? What about the parent who keeps their child off when contagious with covid, potentially saving further job losses/educational losses from long covid. What about the person who is unable to work but voted to remain?

What? You think.people who keep their ill kids at home hugely help the economy? Got to be a pisstake.

3m with long covid in UK, but it makes economic sense to mix when contagious? Pisstake surely.

I wouldn't mix when contagious, but your post is very muddled.
Anyway today is a weird day on MN.

What's your point, exactly?
