Tom Hanks, definitely. When we were students dh and i decided to watch everything a few actors had been in, either borrowing them from the library or from blockbusters or the dvd rental place down the road where you could borrow any film for a pound. Every film Tom hanks has been in was good. Most actors have been in a few awful films but not Tom Hanks.

Not sure about actresses. Love Maggie Smith and Julie Walters
