PIP- MR or not?

I recently had a review of PIP (been on it since 2014, last time had a 6 yr award)

They have taken my standard mobility away but given me the same enhanced rate for care (but less 4 point scores) and only granted it for 18 months.

I'm in a quandry about whether to go down the MR / appeal route or not, as I worry they have given me 12 points exactly for care and could take some away.

Any advice welcome.

Do you agree with the points they’ve given you when you compare yourself to the PIP criteria? If not and they’ve made a mistake then go for the MR.

If you do MR, just note that it’s very likely to be declined unless you have very good medical evidence that they haven’t yet seen to refute the assessor’s report. So if you feel you have a case to challenge, you will likely need to appeal. Don’t be put off challenging the decision because of this. If you think it’s wrong, submit the MR, but just think of it as part of the process you need to get through to get to an appeal.

If your conditions are the same or worsened then I would always say go to MR

Then it goes to appeal , I went from standard care and mobility to zero points and in the interim had suffered a stroke , MR upheld it and at appeal the judge opened by saying how disgusted the panel were and immediately reinstating original award and then increased mobility to higher.

Yes it might need to go to appeal again. Last time, they overturned it before appeal so maybe I will be lucky and that might happen again. Or I could request a paper appeal based on them having details of the previous decision etc.

thanks all.
