The article won’t open for me. Is it because they couldn’t see who was inside the costume? Would it be okay if he was dressed as a killer clown? Most shops don’t let you go in wearing a crash helmet because they suspect you’re going to rob them. I’m all for freedom but I can see why there might be an issue.

Westfacing · 23/07/2025 12:05

What an idiot!

I think many kids would be alarmed at that outfit - the pillock.

Pomer0l · 23/07/2025 12:06

Nothing to do with political correctness, it’s scary for some kids. Me too actually!

What a pathetic thing for a grown man to do. Has he not got something more productive to do with his life the cretinous knob.

'I love embarrassing my daughter' then selling stories to the press about it because he's probably too lazy to get money through actual tax paying work.

Then saying the school are 'woke'. He must have an IQ of about 58.

May913 · 23/07/2025 12:12

TBH he sounds horrible.

He says he was was trying to embarrass his dd even though she had asked him not to - why would you purposefully do that? Who is it fun for? Only him surely?

He then can't see the issue with wearing a mask where you can't even see his eyes, so he literally could be anyone and doesn't understand how it's a safeguarding issue.

Horrible and not too bright either IMO.

Cattery · 23/07/2025 12:16

It could be anyone in the costume. That’s why it’s a safeguarding issue. The staff need to know who it is before they release the child to them. Still, his entitlement comes first. Tosser

purplecorkheart · 23/07/2025 12:16

Why do woman procreate with men like this?? His daughter asked him not to embarrass him but his ego is more important. I

Westfacing · 23/07/2025 12:31

A horse dentist... I'm assuming that's not a proper professionally-qualified veterinary surgeon?

Most vets are sensible people, or so I thought!

Parkerpenny · 23/07/2025 13:05

What a dip stick

ALPS100 · 23/07/2025 13:20

I wonder if woman would dress up like this on the school run?

Actually, I don't wonder at all ...

doodleschnoodle · 23/07/2025 13:24

We had a parent (dad of course) dress up as something inappropriate at a school near us. He terrified some of the young kids by banging on a window so teachers had to pull blinds down. They had to send an email to parents.

Idiot.

ScholesPanda · 23/07/2025 13:28

Woke 🙄

Ah yes the 8th type of discrimination - age, sexuality, monkeys....

Can you imagine teaching a class, you look out the window and there's a twat in a monkey costume jumping around?

Poor daughter

MrsMurphyIWish · 23/07/2025 13:36

I read about this story the other day and my first thought was, “what a twat”. Bet he thinks he’s oh so funny, and loves the “banter”. I’m just amazed he found someone to procreate with him.

No they’re not but very useful if a horse is in pain and finding it difficult to eat.

DreamingofTimbuktuagain · 23/07/2025 13:38

Maybe the next horse he sees will kick him in the balls - I’m sure the teachers would find that funny.

DeirdreChambersWhatACoincidence · 23/07/2025 13:40

I'm actually quite frightened of people in gorilla costumes.

PandoraSocks · 23/07/2025 13:43

I initially thought it was a funny thing to do, but then he started bleating about "woke" and "identifying as a cat".

Maybe he is hoping for some attention from the likes of Yaxley-Lennon.

Hodgemollar · 23/07/2025 14:37

Of course it’s a safeguarding issue, you can’t even see his face. It’s a shame some children are stuck with utter morons as parents.

LittlleMy · 23/07/2025 15:10

He said: "How is that a safeguarding issue?’

Crikey. Agree with everyone and without trying to be mean, he really does appear intellectually challenged 😬.
