Easy to eat breakfasts

Bonus if they're easy to prepare! (I'm not always around when DC get up)

DD passed out yesterday and fell down the stairs, basically because she hadn't eaten much breakfast (only a cereal bar). She's not a fan of eating in the morning, and needs to be awake a while before she eats anything. She doesn't eat a lot of bread.

She also does a lot of sport so needs something substantial to keep her going.

Granola bars is an easy one, you can make them with oats, seeds, nuts, dried fruit and maple syrup/honey and they will be good for several days to grab and eat. Alternatively the ones you buy on the bakery counter at Sainsbury’s or Tesco are really nice too and will provide fibre and quick energy.

Overnight oats are easy to prep the night before and just stick in the fridge, if she prefers hot porridge then it’s easy to make in the microwave in 2 minutes, loads of different combos of flavours to make it more delicious I particularly like stewed apple, cinnamon and chopped walnuts in mine it’s like apple crumble.

Quiche would be an instant and easy alternative to scrambled egg or omelette if you literally want something she can take from the fridge and eat without having to do anything to it.

Sorry but I’d take her to dr and get her fasting sugar levels tested.

Yogurt with granola banana and blueberries.
She can change the toppings.

Egg muffins with ham/feta/peppers/anything you fancy. Take minutes in the oven and can be frozen if you batch cook them

Quiche is a good idea, I think she'd like that.

I've recently returned to work after long term sahm and don't have holidays yet, this is DH's first ever week in charge of them alone and he said he'd sort the food shopping. After all the snide remarks of how he can do it better, I thought I'd let him get on with it. We were not without food, we had e.g. oat milk which DD refuses to drink as we were out of normal milk; our dinner was cheese, toast and tomatoes and fruit rather than a cooked meal. For me, it's totally normal, if I miss a meal, I feel sick then either pass out or throw up. I've always been like that. DH will miss breakfast or an evening meal if he had a big lunch, just have fruit and a piece of cheese. He went shopping yesterday, he's learning!
