What did you get/do for your male DP for his 40th birthday?

Just interested in what other people did for their DP's 40th birthdays.

A trip or holiday is off the cards.

But wondering what close-to-home stuff people did.

I did lots in the end.

I booked him a full body health MOT. Romantic 😂
I booked him a one-on-one with a PT.
We went for a tasting menu at a Michelin-starred restaurant.
I threw a children's birthday party for him, Pokemon themed. 😆
We did a cookery school class where we cooked his favourite dish.

We share money and we have enough so he buys whatever he wants all year. So I concentrated on random things he'd mentioned wanting before but wouldn't get around to buying/booking for himself (MOT, PT session), or that I know he'd love and were a bit special (the two food things) or just really fucking odd (the children's party).
