Do you do your own B12 injections?

I understand from a previous thread on here that some people administer their own Vitamin B12 injections.

Any advice or recommendations please?

I would only buy from a reputable source.

If your B12 levels are low enough to need injections you will be prescribed them by your GP.

Sometimes depending on your GP practice they will allow you to inject at home after checking your technique. It's not like the very fine needles they use for weight loss or insulin so you definitely need to make sure your technique is correct so you don't accidentally hit a nerve or vein etc

If your levels aren't low enough to warrant a GP prescription then please don't buy / give yourself. There is a reason that B12 levels are there. You may well end up with much too high levels of B12!

If you are having symptoms linked to B12 deficiency but your levels are ok then it is likely a different cause.

After decades I was taken off the injections and now take an oral supplement. Regular blood tests show that my levels remain higher and more stable than they did with the injections

It might be worth exploring that with your PN
