Lost provisional licence - test in a fortnight!

My DD can’t find her licence - is there any way to expedite getting a replacement given that the test is two weeks today?? She has filled in the online form, and collected the paper form from the post office to complete tonight and post first thing tomorrow, but it is SO tight. She has waited six months for this test…

Wouldnt it be quicker to do it all online? I don’t think DD’s first provisional even took 2 weeks to receive?

It will arrive on time. Replacements take less than a week.

I’m pretty certain you can get a new one online within a week if you have a valid passport - my partner did, however his was expired not lost. If not I would just send it off and hope for the best, I have seen a lot of people getting them back within way less than the 3 weeks quoted.

Can you not complete it online?

Why does she need to do the paper form if she did the application online already?

Why does she need to do the paper form if she did the application online already?

I did ask her that exact question - she said that she spoke to them on the phone and they originally said they would send a paper form D1 out but that it would be quicker to grab one from the post office, which she has done.
She is in a panic but determined to sort this on her own as she is blaming herself for losing it. I will have another look at the process myself to double check she hasn’t got it wrong. It may have something to do with the fact that she has to declare childhood epilepsy (has been seizure free for 7 years, and nothing has changed from the original application).
The £20 has gone from the online application, so that has definitely gone through…

@Ketchupmunchies ah I see. I am unsure of what medical information triggers. I would check the email confirmation she received after doing the online form. It should say what to do next. If it prompts to do the form then fine, but if it says in process and no further info I don’t think it’s necessary. She may end up sending off two applications at the same time and trigger some sort of fraud investigation and delay it.
