What is your 5year old girl into?

DS has a couple of birthday parties coming up - little girls turning 5.

Last year we went for crafty things - playdoh/foil art and the likes. DS was helpful and picked things out for each of his friends.

This year he tells me he thinks they’d “probably like a sparkle bag” 🙄😂 He seen a glittery cross body bag in one of the shops when we were out a few weeks ago that I wouldn’t buy for him so I think he just thinks if I buy them for his friends then he’ll get one too 😂

Any ideas for things that have gone down particularly well with your 5 year olds? £15-20ish budget for each if possible.

Honestly £15-20 is a heck of a lot for a friend's birthday present. Foil art, craft stuff, books, a little diary and pen set etc would all be perfectly fine for a 5 year old.

Buy him the sparkle bag!

My 5 year old was recently given the Galt Rainbow science kit and she’s absolutely delighted with it, we’ve done some experiments already and super fun. Her favourite gift from her party! Currently £12.80 on Amazon.
But if you’re not keen on it, I’d definitely give something that’ll get used up and something to keep them busy, science kit, crafts…..

Runners up for her favourite gifts were a gem dig kit, filled pencil case from Smiggle, Moana blanket (her being obsessed with Moana is relevant - would be random if not a character you know they really love!).
But honestly she loved everything, most was craft, this age is very easy

@Spies It’s a closer family friend rather than class friends 😊

@ClunkyPigeon 😂😂 No issue with him having the sparkle bag 😊 but he had already spent his pocket money on something else he wanted when we were out and we try to hold firm on not just buying things for the sake of it. I keep a list in my phone that he asks me to add things to if there are things he sees but can’t have and we look at it at birthday and Christmas 😊 The sparkle bag is on the list 😊

This looks great actually 😊 thank you!!

DSs other idea was the gemstone dig kits as he absolutely loves them but I know they’re a real love it or hate it item due to the mess to I usually try and avoid 😅
