Am I losing my mind or have they changed chicken crisps?

Walkers roast chicken, to be precise. They've been my favourite crisps for many years, and now they taste different. Is it me or have they changed the recipe without mentioning anything. And if so, WHY. They were perfect before, change is not necessary!

Yes the chicken flavour has changed, and tastes more of herb flavour over chicken

The last crisp thread on here, the consensus seemed to be that it’s the oil that’s changed. Hence why they taste different

Ah. Maybe they've had to improvise because of the situation in Ukraine, which is was the world's largest exporter of sunflower oil.

Walkers have definitely changed their Roast Chicken flavour crisps. This explains why they weren't in my supermarket for a few weeks.

Maybe my tastebuds have changed since covid but most crisps taste different now, and I dislike the ‘sweetness’ they seem to have. Even a good grind of black pepper (salt and shake style) doesn’t help. After trying lots of brands I conclude they’re not worth the calories. I miss the M&S Marmite crisps of yore.

I’ve noticed this too. It’s like all flavours are turning into prawn cocktail (which I hate).

I had some Walkers Smoky Bacon the other week and their flavour reminded me of, well, manure. Very strange.

This might sound still but you’ve not had Covid recently have you?
I had it again around 8 weeks ago and nothing tastes the same as it did! I really dislike things I used to love x

CHICKEN CRISP KLAXON

I recently discovered Sensations Roast Chicken and Thyme crisps and they are the most chickeny, savoury thing ever. Plus they aren't 'posh' ones - so not hard but light, crunchy and a just a tad greasy. MUCH nicer than walkers regular. I am addicted to them.

i brought a pack the other week and thought the roast chicken ones tasted a little off like smoky bacon! I went shopping today and thought I’d try again and same thing been googling if they’ve changed anything and apparently no change.
