Best spf recommendations for kids?

Need to buy new spf 50 for ds 2.5 and wondering if there's any that are better than others and water resistant? His skin isn't overly sensitive but it's prone to dryness and bumps and the Nivea one I'd been using seems to be making it worse. Any recommendations?

I buy La Roche-Posay Anthelios Dermo-Pediatrics for my DS, because I’m really happy with the normal adult one for my face (easily congested pores). I’d also look at trying ones by Avene or Aveeno, as they’re very good at general skincare anyway.

Altruist is very good, it comes in a trigger spray bottle which makes applying easy, it's cheap, rubs in well and doesn't have a strong smell.

Honestly after trying loads the best one I've found for DDs is the Tesco Soleil SPF 50+ Water Resistant cream in the yellow and blue bottle.

It's cheap, unscented, doesn't flare up their eczema and one application in the morning lasts them all day at school as their primary school doesn't allow them to bring any in with them (an issue for another thread! 🤣)

I use Child's Farm roll on for DD 15 months and really like it

My 3 year old DD has very sensitive skin and has been fine with La Roche-Posay Anthelios Dermo-Pediatrics. We have the spray lotion and the stick which is handy for topping up her face 😂 (I tell her I’m colouring her in 😂)

Thanks all!! Can I ask how these hold up when you're in sand? I liked the Nivea one we had be using because it absorbed quickly enough so when ds was lying 'swimming' in the sand I could still brush it off him easily enough!

Sorry, OP - haven’t been anywhere sandy with La Roche one yet! Just school, park, lakeside, sports track etc. I apply thoroughly before we leave the house anyway, as my DS burns quickly.

@Lavender14 once absorbed we’ve never had a problem - and mine rolls around in the sand room at nursery every single day 🤦🏼‍♀️

Haha good to know, last day we were at the beach ds was literally making sand angels and pretending to swim in it so he just gets covered!

I like Aldi sunscreen, there’s a good spray one that rubs in well and isn’t sticky like lotions.
