She came home with an unidentified orange stain on her Inhaler t-shirt after Saturday at Trnsmt festival.

Good old Fairy liquid, and then soap, have got the worst of it out but these spots are stubborn & not shifting!

Any ideas what else I can try?

Bleach

Do an overnight soak in oxyaction or similar for whites and make a thicker paste of oozy and apply it rubbed in on the difficult parts. It needs a proper overnight long soak to work

Sunlight- nature's bleach

Put it in the sun - the sun lifted a stubborn tomato stain from my DS’ shirt more effectively than anything else I tried

Bleach

This. I bought an ACE bleach in Asda the other day, put it directly on the stain, it lifted in seconds, rinsed under a cold tap and put in the wash with the rest of laundry and it came out great. I was worried it would make a weird light stain but it didn’t

A friend of mine who is an expert strain remover left a stained coat put in the sun and it went away.

Thanks all, it's currently cloudy & raining so I'll see if the local shop has Ace bleach & use it just on that spot.

Noo stop using bleach!!!! All you do is destroy your clothes!! 3% hydrogen peroxide in the wash drawer with a hot wash and use about a cupful of it and it will get all whites sparkling safely and also without damaging the clothes

Nearly50omg · 15/07/2025 18:46

Get the hydrogen peroxide from Amazon
