Have the BMA over reached with the new strikes?

Left wing journalist in the Guradian pretty much summarises what many would politely suggest as excessive pay demands

Robert Winston has resigned from the BMA and many are privately appalled at the tone dead 29% pay demands after an already inflation busting deal....

We have historic dissatisfaction in the NHS coupled with huge demands on the already stretched public coffers so why should the government back down on this? Giving way on another massive pay increase will precipitate other strikes in the NHS specifically the nurses and the people who suffer are the tax paying patients who don't seem to be a the forefront of junior doctors minds.

Yes, I agree with Polly Toynbee too. I have previously supported the doctors’ pay claims but this is unreasonable, poorly timed and tone deaf.
