Sunscreen on emulsion…dammit!

So I liberally applied sunscreen to my ds this morning before he went outside, and he has brushed against the wall and left a greasy mark about the size of a 50p. I’ve tried wiping it with a damp cloth and some washing up liquid but that has made zero difference! It’s quite a dark colour of paint so I’m worried if I rub too hard that the colour will come off and leave an equally noticeable patch. Does anyone have any idea if there’s a way to remove it, or do I need to repaint the whole wall?!

I’d try a flash eraser first before attempting repainting

Get some trade wipes from Screwfix.

Don’t let him brush against your car, it won’t ever come out, you can polish so it looks as if it comes out but will be back, I lost £500 on a car that had all these weird white patches, not realising it was sun cream.

OMG, thanks for the warning! I have magic erasers…will give that a try and report back. I’ve found the paint in the garage, but that’s the last resort, and dp is resisting that idea anyway..says it’s too hot to be doing diy. Fair enough really.

Wall has been painted. Looks fine now, but just a heads up….nothing else worked, not even slightly 😱
