How to get DD5.5 out of night time nappies?

DD is 5 and still in night time pull up.

Sometimes they're wet, probably dry 80% of the time..

My dilemma is I have no clue if she's wet because she's sleeping through it all (she's a heavy sleeper) or if it's just her not in the habit of getting up in the night to wee!

I've been telling her every night before bed, she can get up and donate wee, the toilet is opposite her room and lit well enough. Don't even care if she doesn't wash her hands overnight tbh.

But I don't see how I can know if she wakes up or not?

So it's a bit chicken and theegg at the moment... If I keep her in and she's wet maybe she needs them? But if we go commando we'll end up (maybe?) with wet sheets and duvets etc.

I'm happy to try in summer hols,as she just has a duvet cover to keep her warm, which makes it easier, (but she's also a chaotic sleeper and will end up upside down, on pillows, under cuddly toys etc!)

Any advice? Just leave it? Take the pull-ups away and get waterproof sheets/mats and see what happens?

Nighttime wetness isn't the same as toilet training in the day, they need the hormone that helps them to wake up to go to the toilet and that can develop later in different children. I think my DD was around 6 when she stopped needing pull ups. We didn't stress about it, we just left her to be ready in her own time. I wouldn't stress about it, she will get there.

What's the rush? Night time dryness is physiological. You can't train it, and sodding about with waterproof sheets and wet pyjamas won't help. DS was dry in the day at 2yo, but 7yo before he was reliably dry at night. We kept the pullups until then, no big deal.
