Safe to give toddler hayfever meds every day?

Every bottle of allergy relief for toddlers states to only use for 5 days in a row, or some have a week.

But my son has had hayfever symptoms now for the last 2 months. Is it ok to keep giving him daily? Does anyone else? Every adult I know takes 1 a day

Is this prescribed by a doctor or something you’ve bought from the chemist?

You need to see a doctor

Has your toddler been diagnosed with hayfever? Has he had any other allergy testing?

His eyes flare up bad after being outside especially to the park etc. we were told by pharmacist that he has hayfever. I didn’t realise I had to go to gp, I will book him an appointment

It isn't safe to give a toddler medication for longer than the recommended period without seeing g a doctor.

How could you not realise this? It tells you on the package.

See the doctor and if it's hay fever he'll ok it. My toddler needed it every day too.

I just want to point out that my pharmacist told me my child had hayfever and to give him the medication up to 2 times a day to help his symptoms. It was only when I checked the bottle I am wondering what I should do after this time.

My DD’s ENT consultant told me to buy a bottle of piriton or cheaper off label and give it her every day as I mentioned she was sniffly/snotty since April, she said it was fine to give 2.5ml at night and morning. My dd is 3
