What has made you smile today?

I’m struggling a bit at the moment, especially at work.

Just watching Dover 24/7 programme and learnt about the Magical Taxi Tour Cabbies taking children to Disney Land Paris. Wasn’t even just the cabs but seeing the police, people at Dover and then reading about the behind the scenes stuff such as the medics.

Has Anything made you smile today? It would be great to hear about other good stuff as news and SM tends to the bad.

I was out for a walk and stopped on the footpath as there were a couple of cars coming along the road. The woman in the second car stopped and waved me across the road with a big smile, which made me smile. I love little interactions like that.

couldnt work out ds dog lead,
his dog hates bicycles,
i had two dogs in my hands as cyclist went by
ds dog manage to charge right at the cyclist due to my confusion and misunderstanding of the lead
people were laughing, saying, typical jack Russell, cyclist was shocked but unscathed

i discovered the perennial sweet pea planted previously has come back to life

My DH made me a delicious omelette for breakfast today. He brings me breakfast in bed nearly every day but it's usually something like toast. Today he asked me what I wanted and I told him an omelette, expecting him to be a bit 'meh' about it, but he went straight downstairs to make it no problem at all.

He's a keeper.

My boy is called Ziggi, but known as Zigs 😊🥰

I saw a sparrowhawk flying over me this morning, then spotted a small herd of fallow deer.

This rose bush has produced it's first bloom of the year. It means a lot to me because I planted it with late dh's ashes. It has a beautiful scent.

My little cat Frankenstein came to give me an early morning cwtch today. He stands near me face and waits for me to lift the duvet, then he does a very shallow U turn and lies with his front paws tucked in and resting on my arm, purring his heart out while I stroke his little head.

Also my best friend has adopted two puppies so I have been getting videos all day of their shenanigans.

One of my students demonstrated the state of all our brains at this point in the school year today. They were helping label some exercise books, got in a muddle with which labels went on which books, and ended up yelling “What colour is blue?” over and over. I’m still laughing about it hours later. She meant which colour was for which subject, but it just summed up the term perfectly. She’ll never live it down.

Hello! I just couldn’t keep up with those threads, they move so fast, then I always felt rude appearing when I had missed so much. 😕Suffice to say Louie is still an excellent cat. 🧡

@Youllnevergetabetterbitofbutteronyourknife we used to have a guinea pig called Ziggy when I was a kid, and that’s my friend’s sausage-dog’s name too!

My daughter and Grandson bringing me flowers .. then daughter made me a lovely tea.. because im not very well and laid up in bed.

Today I was at a nursery graduation in a professional capacity. It was lovely to see the children having their moment in the spotlight and the pleasure and pride their families took in them.
A happy and lively occasion.

Pop over any time you want, no one will think you're rude! We all know that people have differently busy lives. 😁
