I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day, in my kitchen spot. The cats have been fed & vanished back upstairs - no elephanting about today, they must have gone back to bed! No one else is up yet so it's nice and quiet, although I have heard dd2 moving about in her room.

We don't have anything much planned for the week. I want to nip to Lidl for fruit for the coming weeks breakfasts & that's about it. Dd1 worked until midnight so will be in bed a while longer, dd2 has done all her homework so will spend the day working on her notes for her upcoming assessment I think. One of them will come to Lidl with me (never both of them 🤷‍♀️).

I'll spend the day pottering again - I did very little of what I'd half planned to do yesterday, so will do some more today. I did clear out the pantry & pack a couple more boxes, as well as finish the bracelets I wanted to do though. I think I'll start today with listing on Vinted and sorting this week's tablets, and see where I go from there.

We're having a roast for tea, because I fancy it 😋 followed by some sort of sweet treat picked up at Lidl.

Once we've tidied up after tea, it's our usual early showers ready for early ish nights & school/work tomorrow. Mine will be my Self-Care-Sunday scrubby everything shower, followed by tan, paint toenails and maybe stick some new press ons if I cba.

What about all of you? 🙂

Really hoping it goes ahead as if rained off as DH and I ought to do housework chores in the afternoon.

I may just kill DH! He’s in a really odd mood & just seems to be picking me up on everything I say! Grr! He’s saying that I’m annoying him. Still, he’s going to clean out the rabbits in a bit so we’ll be out of each other’s way.

Morning @lucysmam and all, I've missed these threads for a couple of weeks.

@lucysmam I'm sorry to hear you are struggling with the house search, you probably have already but if you haven't, make sure you approach your local authority homelessness/housing team with the eviction documents you have been provided to ensure everything is order. Most local authorities have landlords who will work with them to private rent at affordable rates so it's worth asking. All local authorities have a duty to assist people who are threatened with homelessness within 56 days (I.e. been served a valid S21 notice)

A quiet morning here. A very mundane weekend here but we are at a friend's big birthday festival next weekend and then we go on holiday for 2 weeks the following weekend so just pottering doing small jobs for a holiday house reset etc.

DS needs to finish his homework and DD has some Spanish to complete i think. She has spent a whole day "tidying and cleaning" her room so she is spending today vegging and on the phone to her mates. She is also cooking us dinner later in effort to work off her debt (holiday shopping! 🤣), which reminds me I need to get the chicken out of the freezer.

We have been looking after my relatives dogs overnight, Baby Dog has just decamped from a cuddle with DS to a cuddle with me, and Very Old Dog is wondering round looking very doddery indeed. They've both had breakfast and Baby Dog has had a big walk with DD so I am hoping they will have a little nap now. No word from relative as to when they are being picked up..... which is a shame as I had bought my DM tickets to an event today, that she now can't go to due to a last minute injury, I probably could have taken the DC (although they would have been bored senseless!) We couldn't find anyone else who wanted them so.. there's some money down the drain. But there we go.

I start my new job tomorrow so baths and showers and an early night this evening after our Spanish chicken. Must get the chicken out! Have a lovely day all x

Good afternoon Lucysmam and others. I was awake at half six, had two coffees then a cuppa and a slice of toast. I headed to Stirling to meet my son and go to an art exhibition at my art tutor's house. I bought a nude drawing which I loved. Then ds and I walked to the café in the park where I had a fruit scone with jam and he had a fried egg on a roll. I then said goodbye and headed home. I'm about to start washing bedding and emptying the dishwasher. I could do little yesterday as I had both grandsons in the afternoon but no water because of a burst main. The water was horrible when it eventually came back on. So today I'll potter about doing housework. Gammon with new potatoes and tenderstem broccoli for dinner. Strawberries for afters. Enjoy your Sunday

Afternoon all!
DH, 4mo DD and I were at a wedding yesterday, 3yo DS for a sleepover at his granny’s, and I came home with baby around 10ish… DH did not come home at all 😂 so this morning was lovely and peaceful with just me and baby, then we popped into town to get a card for my MILs birthday and some flowers from the lovely local florist for my mum to say thanks for having my son. Grabbed some much-needed sustenance from the bakery for his lordship and went to collect a somewhat sore-headed Mr Inchident from his mate’s place. This afternoon we’ll be on the sofa, watching the formula one and doing very little!

Good afternoon @lucysmam and everyone. I missed the thread completely yesterday somehow.

Had a lazy morning so far and plan to continue that theme for the rest of the day. Did one load of laundry which I hung in boiler room. Have quite a bit to fold from yesterday. Might sew a button on a shirt. Fajitas for dinner which is not a normal Sunday dinner for me.

I’m feeling a bit fed up with DH has he hurt his knee badly almost 8 weeks ago and refuses to see a doctor. It was improving a lot and he went back to a bit of normality and hey presto it’s bad again. So I’m chief cook and bottle washer and annoyed. I’d be less annoyed if he would only be a bloody grown up and see a doctor.

@lucysmam sorry the house fell through. That’s really rubbish. Especially if it’s now being advertised at a higher price.

Just had our chat! 💕

Good Morning All! What are you all up to today?

Afternoon all

Had a lazy day today after a much busier than expected day yesterday! Just after I posted I got a call from my sister saying mum had had to call an ambulance for my dad as he’d collapsed! I quickly got dressed ran outside and remembered DP had taken the car to cricket!

Came back inside, tried to get my bike from the bike shed but it’s blocked by the contents of our neighbour’s shed (don’t ask!) so ended up scooting round there - I was a sweaty mess when I arrived.

Luckily dad was ok, he’d come round and was feeling fine. We cancelled the ambulance and I pot on his compression stockings (he has problems with blood pressure) which he should wear all the time but he and mum struggle to get them on. I’ve now bought them a tool that might help, but also say that my brother and I will happily pop round and put them on him if they can’t.

Anyway didn’t want to leave them alone so stayed over there and DSis, BIL and baby nephew came over to cheer them up too. I cooked a Cottage Pie and DP joined us all for dinner after cricket so actually ended up having a very nice day.

We’re currently on the sofa watching the tennis, will pop to Asda for snacks and dinner in a bit and then we’re having a movie night. Not sure what to watch though - any recommendations welcome!
