I've just come back from Asda with my DS24. Being generous, it's not the best parking experience as there are 3 small, overground car parks before you brave the underground one, which mean that people want to zoom from one to another when they realise they can't park in the first one, etc, etc.
I'd accidentally left the bags in the car and so DS went back to get them. As he was walking away from our car with the bags, a woman driving past stopped him and asked if he was leaving, he said "no, sorry". She then said "well I suggest that you don't hang around your car then". My DS replied, "am I not allowed to get shopping bags out of my car, at an Asda?".
She then drove off without saying anything.
He's not a young looking 24 (beard and is 6'4") so she definitely could not have mistaken him for anything other than a fully grown man, but my DS described her tone as one that a teacher would take with a 7 year old.
I realise that this a a mild example, but tell me about yours please, as DS was rather puzzled by the whole encounter.
