Is there a chance I could get pregnant?

Hi! Just looking for advice really
me and DP have a very solid relationship and we have discussed wanting a baby at some point and the practicalities of it. I have PCOS & suspected endometriosis, medicated with metformin and lost a stone, also my periods have come back every single month but they’re not the same day all the time. Theres like a week maximum between each date so for example I could have one on the 10th, 13th and 17th and have. They’re scattered but close in date and come every month. We have been TTC for a few months now but nothing. Whenever I get pregnancy signs AF just shows up eventually
i am also quite overweight classed as obese
i know that in order to take this seriously I would have to lose weight and start tracking things but we are doing it on a basis of it happens when it happens. Is there a chance and how high?
every negative test makes me feel like less of a woman and I have given up trying

Well, it really depends on how much sex you're having. Every other day or more - good chance of getting pregnant. Once or twice a month - you'd have to hit the two days you're fertile (the window is technically about five days but the odds are much lower for the first few days) so obviously much less likely. Track and find your LH peak and have sex then if just waiting and seeing isn't working for you.

Well done on losing weight and achieving regular periods! Not easy with PCOS.

I'm afraid it's still early days if you've been trying for a few months, although it will feel like forever, I totally get that. I had a quick look for some stats on how realistic it is to fall pregnant on a timeline but couldn't find what I was looking for, I'll keep looking.

I have PCOS and had zero periods when I came off the pill to TTC. Had to wait a year of no periods before the GP would even refer me to fertility clinic (longest year ever!) then a year of treatment and I was finally pregnant!

Don't lose hope. Have a look at signs of ovulation and try to track them (not by just using ovulation tests), and have lots of sex!

Good luck.

Focus on changing your diet for your physical health not just losing weight
your physical health directly impacts your babies development, including their brain

Found what I was looking for.
More than 8 out of 10 women, under 40 years of age, will conceive naturally within a year if they have regular unprotected sex (every 2 or 3 days).
