Best present you got given after 2nd/3rd birth

My friend gave birth recently to her 3rd child after a gap of 8 years, and I'd like to give her something that is not another babygro, blanket etc, although I'd probably get something for the baby anyway.

What did you really appreciate as a not so new mum?

She enjoys running, so maybe a voucher from either Sweaty Betty or sports shop when she's ready to run again? What about pampering type stuff? What did others find helpful?

A photo frame with all my children’s names on, Cook ready meal vouchers, nice coffee and tea, a thermos mug!

Honestly the best present that I received was when my friend batch cooked loads of meals for me, it was so so helpful

If you could take her older kids for an afternoon outing occasionally over the summer, it would probably help a lot.

Nice snacks.

I wouldn't bother with vouchers, I think they'd likely just be unused (Cook vouchers or takeaway probably the exception as been be used straightway). Similarly pampering stuff I'd never get round to.

I did actually still like getting baby clothes, as it meant each child had something special just for them rather than only stuff which had been through several kids before them!

Thank you for the ideas so far. I thought the same re pampering stuff, as I didn't myself but I thought it was just me.

I've never head of "Cook" before, and not sure whether it's available up here. There will actually be 6 of them needing a meal, as her dh has 2 from his previous marriage.

What is it about "Cook" that's better than say Hello Fresh or Gousto?

Cook is actual meals made up for you, rather than just a load of ingredients. I don't find Hello Fresh etc less faff than just normal cooking, but ready meals are definitely easier.

Friend asked her cleaner if she could do my house instead when baby came early.

Cook is amazing, they deliver to most places so worth looking at. It’s homemade ready meals. And they have a kids range. I love it so much and always my go to present for new parents. Plus they get 10% off for a year so the voucher will go further!

Cooks meals are the fucking bomb and easily the best thing I received after DD2!!

Personally I really appreciated those who bought a little something for my older child. It made him feel he was a part of it all too and that made me happy. I didn’t really want for much else… although chocolate never goes unappreciated!
