I need to take something in for an away day. What's your easiest go to recipe? As few ingredients as possible would be great

Flapjacks.

You can google it - you need to search for the MN poster Soupdragon’s flapjack recipe. Delicious.

Oats
butter
condensed milk
golden syrup

couldnt be easier to make.

If it absolutely must be 'baked at home' and you're looking for easy, then what about something from a mix like this? www.sainsburys.co.uk/gol-ui/product/betty-crocker-chocolate-chip-cookie-pouch-200g

Another option is cupcakes from a cake mix, but then you'd need to use the cupcake papers, bake and let cool, and then ice them. Visually they're more appealing but do require a bit more work.

If you're really pressed for time and can't be bothered to bake something could you just do store bought from the bakery? If guilt / stigma is what's stopping you from doing this then take them out of the package and pop them in a quality street tin, give them a little rattle around so they're less perfect and more homemade looking 😆

Yes to a tiffin or rocky road.

The Standing on Your Head Banana Bread recipe in the Mumsnet cookbook is one of my go-tos for this sort of thing. Very easy, and delicious. Bananas, butter, sugar, eggs, flour. Nothing fancy. Transports well wrapped up in foil.

Oops meant to include the recipe

Peanut butter bites……….peanut butter, honey and oats…….no cooking required and you can cover it in chocolate if you wish

Mix salted peanuts, mini marshmallows and raisins with melted milk or dark chocolate. Spread in a layer on baking paper then into the fridge to set and break up into shards.

Couldn't be easier but they're delicious.

I like the cut of your job. This had crossed my mind. I suggested the darn thing so I feel obliged to produce something
