Do you have an internal monologue in your head at night!

Just that really. I can't turn off my brain at night (DH finds it easy). I'm constantly thinking about what I did today, what I'm going to do tomorrow, and then lots of random thoughts, all stopping me relaxing enough to go to sleep.
Does anyone else have this?
(Sorry, should be a question mark not an exclamation mark, I can't seem to edit the title).

Yes which is why I’ve never been able to sleep without earphones in playing something. Has to be talking though, not music

I do
I listen to audiobooks for this very reason.
I think the monologue is there all the time it's just louder at night

I use ASMR videos to help me to sleep, I’ve had ASMR from a very young age, and I love that there are now so many videos.

I can also have the most random thoughts though, last night I was just drifting off when I suddenly had the urge to google Famagusta! Confused

Ive had this my entire life. Even as a small child I would lie in bed with my mind ticking over. Ive never been a person who can fall straight to sleep when my head hits the pillow.

Yes, I have trained myself to fall asleep by imagining myself in some sort of film or situation so I can drift off. This might be buying and furnishing my mansion after a lottery win or whatever. So fictional situations.
Otherwise it's an endless rumination on everything. My DD uses a podcast or as others have suggested an audio book I suppose it does the same job.

Yes, my internal monologue is rarely quiet! I’ve always had to read or daydream to fall asleep.
