How do you hold their hand?

I’m just curious. This might sound like a weird question but I’m sorry I guess I’m just trying to get people’s opinion. When you are out walking with your little one do you typically let them hold onto your finger or do you hold onto their wrist, meaning that their hand is in your? Or do you just pick them up and carry them? Again just curious is all How other people go about it?

I used to hold his little fist. I miss that!

Mine loves to wrap his hand around my finger. It’s the cutest. That hand when he runs up to give me one of those quick hugs and then runs off to go play

@Parker1970 This is yet another one of a long list of random parenting questions from you recently such as 'helping' and tripping over your child.
What's really going on?

I used to hold my sons wrist.

I remember on one occasion I went along on a nursery school trip round a Transport Museum to help the staff. I had to take care of another wee boy as well as my son. And he got quite perplexed when I held his wrist and he insisted I held his hand properly.

would always try to hold their hand unless there was particular danger and/or they were pulling away when I might switch to wrist but only if needed.
