Hi, i've just purchased 'Wild Collagen' by Ancient & Brave and discovered that apparently this won't work on it's own according to other adverts. It works better with Vit C???? any comments or more knowledge on the 'Collagen' era

That’s not the case. This is hydrolysed so it absorbs. You don’t need vitamin c, this is what helps your natural collagen production not the product to absorb. Add it to coffee in the morning or a cold drink. I’ve been taking it for 6 months and it has improved my skin, hair and nails. Possibly joints but I didn’t have issues with these beforehand.
There’s so much conflicting information about collagen I just picked a brand, tried it and it works so I’ve kept using it. I used gummies before and they did nothing.
I do take multivitamins, magnesium and cod liver oil as well and did before I tried collagen. I can see the difference when adding collagen.

Thanks for your advice I thought that vit C wasn't needed, It can get so confusing the more you try and research the more confusing it can get. 😊

I thought ingestible collagen does absolutely fuck all. There are no peer-reviewed studies that show it has any benefit, especially for aging.

I use the true collagen from A&B, I put it in my morning coffee. I’m mid way through month three and until about 2 weeks ago I was debating giving up because it seemed to make no difference but there’s suddenly been quite a big shift in my skin texture and tone, so I’m going to stick with it and see if it’s actually this or a fluke hormone fluctuation…

Yeah the research is patchy. The A&B stuff in hydrolysed which is apparently the best way to go.

Theres quite a bit of anecdotal stuff, which obviously isn’t peer-reviewed, but isn’t something to entirely disregard, especially on something low stakes like this.

Following advice I also got the Ancient+Brave wild collagen and I'm wondering how people are taking it? I've been dissolving it in orange or apple juice and its not bad but still a clear aftertaste. Any other suggestions?

I only ever put it in coffee. I can tell it’s there but u don’t mind the very slight taste.
