My latest popular word but it won't beat my all time favourite - dirigible.

Please share your favourite words, past or present, any language.

I always think of Uriah Heep from Charles Dickens' David Copperfield when I hear this word (unctuous)
I like the word supersede because of the spelling

Pulchritudinous. I wouldn't describe it as my favourite word exactly but I do enjoy using it, mainly because the sound of the word is so incongruent with its meaning.

A friend of mine used the word 'malopropisms' the other day. I was vaguely aware of its existence but hadn't a clue what it meant until I looked it up. I'm not even sure how to pronounce it, therefore, it doesn't make the favourites list. At least for the time being.

Aléatoire

Means randomly, in guess what, French

Pamplemousse (grapefruit) is another fine French word.

Perzackerley, a portmanteau word, portmanteau being a fine word in its own right.
