I said I was fine with it staying in Chat, but Mumsnet have moved it to the feminism sex and gender forum and I can’t post on it as haven’t been a member for 90 days. So if you don’t see any replies from me, that’s why! I can’t post them in that forum!

could someone please post on my moved thread to let people know I can’t post over there yet.

That's mad! Can someone tag a moderator here to see if they can move it elsewhere

thank you!

You're welcome. Done!

Redshoeblueshoe · 15/06/2025 21:03

That's ridiculous.

Talkinpeace · 15/06/2025 21:05

Dear @mnhq
I am not sure why a thread that affects the vast majority of your users was moved.

Discrimination affects every Mum and Woman and Gran and in this case Man and Dad (on Fathers Day)
not just the ones who identify as feminists

KimMumsnet · 15/06/2025 21:29

Hi there, @javyd - we did move your original thread to the Sex & Gender topic as it was flagged by another poster, and we assumed that was where you'd wanted to post (as you mentioned that yourself on the thread). We don't have any restrictions on who posts in that topic, so can you give us some more information as to why you're unable to post there? You are welcome to send us some screenshots ([email protected]) as that will help us identify the issue. Many thanks.

@KimMumsnet screen shot attached.
Its not letting me post and I assume that’s because I haven’t been a member for 90 days?

Hi again @javyd - thanks for the screenshot. We don't have any rules about posters having to be members for 90 days before they can post in that topic. We know it's a pain, but can you try clearing your cookies and logging out and back in again to see if that helps? Thanks!

several people commented that you had to be a member for 90 days to post on certain fora, so it seems it’s a mumsnet thing!

OP posts:
KimMumsnet · 15/06/2025 22:12

Nope, it's not a rule on Mumsnet for the Feminism: Sex & Gender topic.

KimMumsnet · 15/06/2025 22:20

If clearing your cookies and logging in/out doesn't sort the issue, do get back to us and let us know and we'll do our best to help.

Talkinpeace · 15/06/2025 22:23

Could the OP's thread be moved back to Chat then ?

Its a really important issue where some men are discriminated against
while women are being disadvantaged.

It affects pretty much every Mumsnetter
