I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day, in my kitchen spot. I've been awake on & off for hours after making sure dd1 was up to get sorted to travel to London for Lido festival. She's off to see Charli XCX & meeting a friend in London first as they're both travelling from/to different locations.

I've got the washer on already for uniform and work clothes, starting with dd2's shirts. Only one more year of washing them to go 🥳. The house is a bit of a shed so needs straightening up.

Dd2 wasn't fussed about doing anything today, so I'll check again when she gets up, then spend the day pottering and painting some more peg dolls if she definitely wants to stay home. I have quite the list of requests!

Should also think about starting to clear out and pack to move - we were served our notice yesterday so have the fun of finding somewhere else to rent now 🙄...maybe I'll start with a list & work from there.

I'm not sure what's for tea yet - something chickeny I think 🤔. I'll get it out to defrost, then decide. It can always become Sunday dinner instead!

What about all of you? 🙂

Just read the thread @lucysmam sorry to hear you have to move, but hopefully you get a lovely sunny spot to post weekend threads from ❤️

Good luck with the house hunting. I've done some washing, walked to library and been to florist for a floral tribute for dad's grave. Got to do some lesson prep now😫. 5 more weeks till I leave😊 Have a good day everyone.

It’s sunny here after a rainy start. Just walked the dog and hung out the washing. I’m about to do some online training I’ve been avoiding so all work related this afternoon. Off to see dp later we are going to cook and head out to the arcades for some fun and competition! Enjoy your Saturday everyone. Sorry to hear about the house @lucysmam that happened to me years ago so stressful luckily I found a farmer who does long term let’s it’s been ten years! 🤞🏼for you.

Having a lazy afternoon after a busy morning. My 21yo is away to Birmingham for a few days with friends, she normally helps walking the dogs for us so I had to take one out to collect 17yo who was at theatre youth group this morning. I had to get some shopping afterwards and we ended up getting absolutely soaked walking around the High St in a huge thunderstorm. Didn’t even get anything I was looking for but I did buy some funny face egg cups from a charity shop.

Went via the local bakery for some rolls for lunch on our way home and we’ve just all been sitting drying off since then. I was watching the darts but Sky went off during the rest of the storm so I sat listening to the thunder for a while. Our house was shaking from it at times. It’s cleared up now though, still some rain but the storm has passed so I’m watching the darts again with a nice hot coffee.

Relaxing day at home.

Spent a couple of hours gaming this morning with the kids and now gardening although it's ridiculously windy so I'm spending more time chasing plant pots around the garden than I am filling them with flowers.

Originally planned to repaint the master bedroom today however the paint isn't arriving until Monday so that will have to wait until at least Thursday now when I have time to do it.

Good afternoon @lucysmam and everybody. I'm late today, I've had such a busy day!

Good luck with the house hunting @lucysmam . It just be a real worry for you. I hope you find somewhere perfect for you.

I've had a busy week. Grocery delivery on Monday, with 22 substitutions and some non-availables. That meant needing to place another order for delivery on Thursday (I get free deliveries). Thank goodness everything, except bacon, strangely, got delivered on Thursday. Then I had to cook 3 chickens and dismember them on Monday, for use this week.
My sisters came to lunch Christmas on Tuesday - that used most of one of the chickens - the other two cooked chickens were in the freezer.
Wednesday was spent getting a bedroom ready for my daughter from Liverpool, and making everything look nice for her, and I made local daughter's birthday cake.
On Thursday morning we went to IKEA, ostensibly to buy another guard rail for the bed toddler Houdini grandson would be sleeping in, but I also bought some fantastic knives and some delicious cheese. In the afternoon daughter and Houdini arrived.
Friday was quite quiet. Daughter and Houdini were out most of the day. I prepared coronation chicken with the (now defrosted) chicken out of the freezer and made the sweet and sour noodle salad local daughter likes.

Today.... Well it's my local daughter's birthday this week. I always do a special meal for my children and for my local son-out-law, and I also always try to have a family lunch when Liverpool daughter comes to visit, so we combined them today. That meant 8 people for lunch. I was up early having breakfast and entertaining Houdini, before laying the table and getting the potatoes in the oven to bake, doing the salad, transferring the coronation chicken and noodle salad into serving bowls etc.
The rest of the family arrived at around 11.45, then there was lunch. I finally got up to bed for a nap around 3, after clearing and washing up, and that is my day so far!

Liverpool daughter has taken Houdini out for the rest of the afternoon and they will be having something to eat while they are out, so Mr Dilemma and I will just have whatever we fancy to eat, when we feel like it.

Liverpool daughter and Houdini leave tomorrow morning, so I have no idea what we will do when they go! Not much I think.J

@Peridot1yes! That’s probably why I am so swollen. I have to wait for 4 months now for it to heal and for the bone to grow and heal around the implants, before the provisional crowns are placed. I am sporting a lovely gap at the front 😩 and desperately hoping for the swelling to go down by the time I am back at work in two weeks.

Good luck for the rest of your treatment.
