London trip for a 10 year old

I'm taking my daughter and her friend to London to celebrate her birthday. We have found somewhere we like the look of to go for lunch and now we are looking for other fun ideas. Lunch is in Covent Garden. We wondered about finding somewhere fun to go for a pudding if anyone has any good ideas and just other ideas to while away the afternoon doing nice things. We have done various museums etc so are looking for something maybe more like an experience or a cool place to visit. Any recommendations please? Thank you.

The gunpowder plot. It's fantastic. It takes place under the tour of London and you follow in guy foxes footsteps. It uses a mix of live actors and vr. They also have a really good cafe. I've not tried deserts there so I don't know what the menu is but honesty I'd go there for the experience then lunch.

I don't see a 10 year old getting much out of covant garden tbh. But then... I find it a little overrated.

Maybe afternoon tea somewhere instead of desert? They can be pricey at places. I think the ivy was inexpensive.

A boat trip down the water if you've never done it is a must.

This looks amazing (my 15 year old son really wants to go) - you could also walk down to the Anya Hidmarch ice cream shop (or get bus, it's about 30 mins by foot but a lovely walk)

There is a Creams at Marble Arch - Creams is a dessert only chain. My girls love it.

Great, thank you very much. I will look into that - sounds great! Hadn't thought about a boat trip too, that could be fun - especially if the sun comes out!

The Horrible Histories Thames boat trip is brilliantly entertaining.

Thank you - will check it out. I like the Serpentine. I have just looked at the ice cream place, that looks very nice too.

Thank you - we actually have one where we live so have been there a couple of times. My daughter does love it though.

If you're going to be in Covent Garden then try Badiani. Much nicer than Creams. There's also the Seven Dials food hall, which has several dessert options.

The automaton museum is great (not really a museum, very thing is functional). It's very small so only about 30/40 minutes, but if you're in the area it's a great stop-off.
