Gousto - is anybody still using them?

Help! I am drowning in whatever mess my head is going through right now and I just can't take meal planning anymore. I used Gousto several years ago before pregnancy / childbirth and it was fine for us then but not sure if it is a) still worth it, b) suitable with a toddler.

I have a referral link for 65% off your first box then 25% off for first 2 months. I will also get £20 credit.

Thanks, but I have been a customer before so this won't work I think...

Yes we have been using Gousto for the past 4/5 years. We have a 3 year old but it’s rare he eats them same meals as us for a variety of reasons. They have however recently introduced family recipes with recommendations of how to make them more child friendly (e.g. leaving out certain spices etc).

Use them all the time...Sometimes have a few weeks off (I don't have a subscription) just for variety but there are few meals that haven't been hits with my lot, and I like someone else to do the thinking, so we carry on.

I preferred Hello Fresh to Gousto and I used Simply Cook as well. I stopped my subscriptions a while ago (which was really difficult as they kept sending me boxes of meals I hadn’t chosen 😡)
I just use the recipe cards for inspiration and buy the ingredients which works out much cheaper. But I have a lot of them, sounds like you might not.
I find if I don’t plan meals at the start of the week we end up eating the same things or getting a takeaway. So perhaps a different subscription for a while to get the discounts and keep the cards?

No. Portions are too small and it works out as really expensive. Only buy if you have spare cash/ use coupons/ are desperate for convenience.

I have been using them for a few months, two meals every two weeks. Once we've been using them for a while and have built up a stock of the recipe cards, we'll cancel and just buy the ingredients in the supermarket shop instead.

The service has been flawless and the meals very good so far. Things like the pasta are obviously very good quality too. We've found the portions generous.

I switched to Hello Fresh - I found that they had more variety.
