Evorel patch - peeling after 1 day

What am I doing wrong?
I apply a new patch and in less than 24 hours, it’s peeling away so much that it starts falling off.

I only apply after showering. My skin is naturally very dry so I don’t moisturise until after I’ve applied the patch.

I’m getting through my 3 month supply so quickly!

Anyone else having the same issue?

I stopped them for that exact reason. I just couldn’t get them to stay on. I changed to a gel which has been brilliant.

If you shower & moisturise in the morning, try applying the patch in the evening when you won't be doing anything to your skin overnight?

I'd be concerned about applying a new patch every 24 hours, in terms of how much hormone you'd be getting.

Maybe speak to your GP?

Thank you for the gel recommendation @mrsconradfisher

I need progesterone for the second half of the month so assume I’d need to take tablets for the progesterone input? I’ll make a GP appointment and have a chat.

The frequency of the patch changing is worrying me too in terms of dosage @Chasingsquirrels

I will try night time patch changes until I can get a GP appointment. I like the idea of patches over tablets but not if they continually peel off.

When sticking the patch on, give it a blast with your hair dryer. It warms the glue and makes it more sticky.
i swim, cycle, workout etc., and often put a bit of KT tape over the patch, blast the tape with a hairdryer too. It’s never moved, despite the active, sweaty lifestyle.

Yes i do too, however i use the progesterone vaginally instead of taking the tablets. They are exactly the same as the pessaries only you need to use 2 instead of 1. I’ve had no side effects at all and feel so much better.
