Gift for chef

Need ideas for a gift for a chef, either an item or accessory or even a good place to get a voucher for, would rather something that can be wrapped though if possible - would love to hear from other chefs on this, thanks.

Thank you - get what you mean but they just got a promotion too so it's kinda for that

How much do you want to spend? My immediate thought was a recipe binder or really decent salt and pepper grinders

If it's for the home kitchen, a nice magnetic knife rack. For work purposes, a Japanese mandoline. DS has the Super Benriner and has to keep it nailed down from other chefs.

For work really not for at home. Hmm budget max £100 I think as there's another gift too which was not cheap

A really nice (Japanese) knife. Go to a proper cookery shop and get them to show you something in your budget. If you are in London or anywhere else with a Nisbet’s I’d go there. Or just go have a browse, you will find something.

I would think any professional would prefer to choose their own tools 🤔

There’s a lovely foodie website - sous chef.co.uk I’m sure you’ll find something there. 👍🏼

As a chef, I think a nice knife wrap, depending on what style of cooking they’re doing perhaps some nice tweezers? Try ouichef, you can get them engraved too. I would stay away from knives as we all have our own preferences and I don’t know any chef that would like one as a gift that they had no say in.

This was my first thought. Maybe a voucher to a good store where they could get themselves exactly what they want or need? You can add a short and funny smartshow 3d slideshow if it's their birthday, but I wouldn't recommend getting some particular tools on your own, it might be very tricky.
